Rooms
A hotel located in the town of Alba de Tormes, on the banks of the Tormes River. It has 35 rooms, of which 30 are doubles, 3 singles and 2 bridal suites. We also have 10 extra folding beds if required. Enjoy stay in any of our 34 rooms, which are fully equipped with a full bathroom, television and telephone. Or what about a romantic night in one of our bridal suites, with a full range of services, including air conditioning and spectacular jacuzzis. It is an incomparable setting adding that extra romantic touch to those very special moments.
Other facilities
Enjoy the space. Hold your most important events in our large function room with a capacity for 500 people, and equipped for all kinds of meetings, weddings, communions, etc. Live it. There is also a wide range of leisure activities for all ages. a comfortable café, a terrace-mirador with views over the banks of the Tormes, wide restaurant, space for special events, restautant for smokers, etc. We have indoor parking so that you have no problems with your car.
Useful tourist information
Its origins go back to the times of Ferdinand II, who built a watchtower on a hill above the Tormes River. It was converted into a castle by Sancho IV "the Brave".
It was devastated by wars during the reign of Henry IV of Spain and by the Comunidades uprising in the early 16th century. Later it was rebuilt and converted into a palace by the first Duke of Alba. In 1809 it was dismantled by the French army.
Only one of its six towers survives, as do a few paintings, a gate and a number of balconies. The tower houses some worthwhile paintings, such as "The Battle of the Gods and Titans", which adorned the 15th-century armoury of the palace of the dukes of Alba.
